ESOL WITH CITIZENSHIP

 ESOL ENGLISH FOR CITIZENSHIP COURSES WITH EXAMINATION PREPARATION

Leeds Language College runs courses for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) with Citizenship.

Courses are available at the following levels:

  • ESOL ENTRY 1
  • ESOL ENTRY 2 
  • ESOL ENTRY 3

The course contains a combination of General English, English for Citizenship and Examination Practice.

On completion of a course students can sit an official ESOL Skills For Life Examination at Leeds Language College or any of the other examinations certifying levels A1 to C2. Students will normally have to take an exam in all 4 skills - Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.

 

ESOL SKILLS FOR LIFE EXAM DATES JANUARY TO JULY 2013.

 SPEAKING AND LISTENING

 The Speaking & Listening Exams are delivered on demand. You must book the exams at least 6 weeks in advance.

 READING AND WRITING

Reading and Writing exams can be booked on demand between 01 September 2011 and 30 November 2011.

You must book the exams at least 6 weeks in advance.

Teaching materials and resources used in the course are taken from the document entitled Citizenship Materials for ESOL Learners  produced by NIACE/LLU+ and  Citizenship Materials for ESOL Learners (ISBN: 1-84478-5424).

Students will be required to take a formal ESOL exam at the end of your course.  Leeds Language College is a registered examination centre for the following examination boards:
